M Dot Pitts is an actor, rapper, lyricist, published writer, and accomplished performer.

His writings have been featured in the Miami Herald Newspaper and he’s been featured on screen most notably in Fox Television’s “America’s Most Wanted.” M. Pitts has stared on stage at the Little Theater of Alexandria, located in Northern Virginia, in the award winning play “Desperate Hours,” and at the Hallam Players Theatre in “The Colored Museum”. Having appeared in dozens of independent movies/festival projects/online films and training videos such the official NFL Films player-training video, commercials by “Mind Media” and projects such as “The Magic Pill,” “MyHotZoneTV.com,” work by “Over the Hump Productions” and films such as “Accidental Villains,” M. Pitts is always eager to tackle new, provocative roles as an actor.

His music doesn’t focus on the materialism and fake studio-thuggery that plagues the majority of hip-hop today. Instead it describes his REAL life and experiences, along with his feelings and thoughts on profound subject matter. If he says it, he’s done it or been around it. No punches are pulled, nothing is glorified, and everything is authentic (unlike most of you hear today). His music is best described as the perfect blend of Westcoast style, Eastcoast lyricism, Dirty South melodies, and a midwest flow, reflecting the many places he’s lived, visited and been raised. M. Pitts was born in Los Angeles, California before moving to Dade County, Florida, relocating again to the Prince George’s County, Maryland/Washington DC region.

In addition to being a talented individual, He’s proven that he is a survivor. After living through the devastation of Hurricane Andrew as a child, a shooting, and various legal troubles M Dot Pitts quote, “Got his priorities in order,” and focused on his life long love affair of writing, acting, and making real music that real people can feel. He credits music as one of the things that helped to save his life.
